Who is OMNI and why should you trust them with the environmental impact of your business? Let’s have a conversation about that. I’ll play your part to save time.

>You: Who Are You?
>>Me: OMNI Green Strategy is founded and operated by me, Ian Carleton in Springfield, Missouri. I have spent fourteen years in the small business sector running operations in the smallest of firms as well as companies with regional presence and international supply chains. This experience has given me a broad and deep insight into what is required of small businesses in order to pursue not only their financial goals but the pursuit of building a better community and curating a better planet. I am also Co-Founder of Saint Fox Cider company, where my partner and I make hard cider for our community using methods that allow the agricultural resources we procure fruit from to annually absorb 3 metric tons of C02 over what our operation produces. Not every firm is a hard cider company, but I’ve been down the journey to carbon neutral and beyond. I know where to look for the latest research and how data translates into achievable solutions.

>You: How Does That Experience Translate Into Carbon Strategy?

>>Me: The short answer is Intense Operations Knowledge, Voracious Quantification of Detail, and Fanatic Enabling of Good People….and I make amazing fajitas but that’s probably another conversation. Let me break down that short answer into something more robust for you.

Operational Knowledge can mean at things. For OMNI, it means owning a extremely nuanced viewpoint into the intricate web of people, products, and services that comprise a business. OMNI embraces broad structures and goals that apply to nearly all firms, large and small, while knowing what questions to ask and what facets of an individual firm to explore to tailor carbon strategy to your business’ unique identity.

Your firm’s unique identity lies in the details that thread their way through daily operations. The packaging a firm needs and the options available are subject to certain levels of industry specificity. Transportation and sourcing options can often tell the story of a firm’s relationship with its supply chain. OMNI is driven to bring your firm as close to carbon neutral as possible, not dictate any company’s identity.

OMNI exists to amplify the power of street-level firms in the modern economy. Firms in the American economic system can be likened to primarily independent nation-states, they are (for the most part) left to determine their culture and their governance on large issues like Climate, Equality, and Fiscal Structure. OMNI provides smaller firms with the necessary tools to establish a culture that cares for the environment and subsequently community stakeholders.

>You: Those Words Sound Expensive. What Does OMNI Charge?

>>Me: OMNI uses quoted pricing because every firm is different and it is important to be fair to every prospective client. The Pricing Structure for OMNI entails a quote for the primary analysis to determine a firm’s operational carbon footprint as well as a recurring monthly fee for data services which help determine profitable pathways to reduce that carbon footprint. For the primary analysis, the following is a general guideline; firms that have 0-10 employees can expect quotes around $1000, firms that have 11-50 employees can expect quotes in the ballpark of $1500-$2000, and any firm with more than 50 employees is likely complex enough that I wouldn’t feel comfortable stating an expected price range so they should just get in touch and we’ll make awesome things happen from there. Recurring monthly data services range from $50-$100.

*This information is also listed on the Quote OMNI page but we feel it’s important enough to list here as well.

>You: What Else Do I Need To Know?

>>Me: You need to know that you can absolutely lower your carbon footprint by significant amount and be financially rewarded for doing so. Operational systems that pursue noble goals like climate action can be successful if the entirety of the firm’s fiscal health is cared for in the creation and execution of that operational system. You also need to know that veggie burgers look absolutely ridiculous and any alcoholic beverage served on draft is a win for the planet. Thank you for your time.
